Spring Fever

I have been a little scarce on my blog lately. Attempting to catch up with all of my school work that seemed to just come out of nowhere these past couple weeks. Thankfully, Spring Break is next week...and I can't wait. No big plans or anything, but I am just thankful to have a week to not have to worry about anything. Lately I have been having a horrible habit of staying up til around 5 or 6a.m. every night...so I am hoping that I get that fixed over the week. Ha.ha.
Thought I would share my snack choice of the night, Club crackers with chives and onion cream cheese spread. Hooked now since my friend Ashtain had me try them earlier today. Thanks Ash. That's all I need. Ha.ha. But have to say it's pretty darn good.
But had a great night tonight hanging out with my bestie, Ashtain and this handsome little dude. She just cut his curls last week and I can't get over how much he looks like a little boy now. It's so sad. Ha.ha. Isn't he adorable? (minus the horrible camera phone picture with harsh flash and red eye) ;)
Anyways, now that I'm done boring you with my night, hope you all have had a great night and a great rest of the week! I am hoping I can finally get out to take some pictures this weekend. Can't wait! (the weather has been absolutely perfect this week and i'm hoping some things will start to bloom for me) Hope to be able to share them with you by next week!

Sweet Little Xavier

I had the joy of photographing one of my favorite little guys, Xavier, today. He is one of my best friends little boy. I can't believe he is already 14months. It's crazy how fast they grow! We took a trip down to Millrace Park since today decided to please us with some gorgeous sunshine. Spring fever is starting to hit me. The weather was great, but I'm ready for some color! Ready for some things to start blooming. The colors were a little too dull in the park for my likings. April couldn't get here any sooner.....but until then, here's some lovely pictures of sweet little Xavier to hold you over.

Could he get any cuter? ;) ....Well i'm out to go celebrate my late night last night paying off (I got an A+ on my assignment) with some much needed sleep.

Monday Evening Boredom

Today I found myself venturing through a local antique shop...imagine that...ha.ha. I came upon a collection of dolls that I found perfect for my editorial project for school. (Collections: Junk or Treasures?) Here are a few of the pictures I snapped for the project...

Now if only I could get motivated to finish the other step of this project. ;) After taking a business management test, finishing up a photo project, and working on some homework it's kinda hard to want to do anymore. But I guess that's college life for you. I can't wait to get finished with my photography major. But I can definitely wait to start on my business management major. I'm just hoping when the time comes to start that I am motivated to do it.

Hooray For Fabrics!!

Just made my way back from JoAnn Fabrics, where I found some awesome fabrics for pretty cheap. $2.50 a yard for fabric is my kind of price. Now that I am home I am kinda wishing I would have got some more. But I can't wait to get started on a few projects I have in mind! :) Now if I can just decide where to start. Ha.ha.
I also found a couple of really cute sewing idea books I would like to own in the near future....
Welp, I am off to do some projects. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Vintage Shopping!!

If there is one thing I could absolutely do all day long, it would be vintage shopping. Sadly, all the ones here around town close at early hours, so I wasn't able to go as much as I wanted, but I was able to get a few good finds during my short trip today. One of which I was pretty glad to find. It is a 1898 copy of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar book. I kinda have a thing for really old books and this one I just couldn't pass up. :) I was also able to find a pretty good condition Coca Cola crate, as well as a really cute little primitive looking chalkboard sign. I also found a couple cute chairs I just might have to talk myself into going back for. Ha.ha.

Here are a couple of things I might have to end up going back for....I loved this huge chest. Even though it had some faults, it would be perfect to store all of my props into. :)
And I love the little chair in this picture for a photo prop, as well as the bookshelf thing, which would be pretty sweet for holding my crafts.
Oh how I wish I was rich and could afford all of the little vintage things I wanted. :)

A Sweet Proposal

Felt like I did my good deed for the day yesterday. A guy had proposed to his girlfriend at Starbucks while I was there, and I took the liberty of taking a couple photos for them. I figured they need some pictures of the memory. It was so cute. And the guy seemed pretty happy I got the pictures for them. :) I guess Starbucks is where they had met, so it had that romantic touch. He had put the ring in the pastry case and had her pick out what pastry she wanted....I think she made the right choice. Ha.ha. I can't wait to get their pictures for them. I had never seen someone get proposed to, it was quite adorable. And I do admit I teared up just a little. Ha.ha. It gave me the idea that I think when a guy proposes they should definitely have someone spying close by to take a few pictures of the moment.
