Just found out yesterday that I get to go on vacation with my family in April to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I have only ever been on a handful of vacations in my past, so I am always excited to go anywhere outside of Indiana. I am super pumped. I really wish my boyfriend, Justin, could come along, but unfortunately he can't get off of work. But instead I maybe taking one of my best friends with me, which would be a lot of fun as well! I am thinking tomorrow I need to go shopping for some cute summer clothes (which I am lacking in), and the perfect bathing suit.
Here are some bathing suit styles I love....
I'm thinking the second swimsuit is exactly what I want. Plus it's red, which is my color, and I'm super in love with the retro vintage swim suit look, but unfortunately, one piece suits never seem to fit me. :( But hopefully I find something cute at Target tomorrow. Target rarely seems to fail me. Ha.ha.
Hello all! Thanks for stopping by! My growing interest in anything crafty has led me to want to share all the things I find interesting in this field with you as well, as well as all things me. I'm kind of obsessed with anything vintage. I also am a photographer for Lovely By Lakeesha Photography, and I would love to be able to share my photos with you all as well. Hopefully you will find some type of enjoyment/inspiration from my blog and gain some creativity for yourself!

90's Nickelodeon
So lately I have been ending my nights with 90's Nickelodeon shows...gotta say I'm digging it. It definitely takes me back. I am so glad they brought them back on tv. I don't think you can ever be too old to enjoy a good cartoon, or other shows you loved when you were a kid (I have a whole bookshelf full of Disney movies to rest my case) Ha.ha. I think watching these shows just reminds me that even though I am in college and am starting my adult life, that I don't have to be grown up all the time. :)
Here are a few of my favorite 90's Nick shows....
Just to name a few....Ha.ha. That doesn't even probably cut it. Especially if I begin to get into Disney and such...We'll leave it with Nickelodeon shows for now. So yeah, go be cool, stay up late, and watch some 90's Nick @ Nite. Ha.ha.

I'm Feeling A New Project In The Midst
While having a very normal (for us) late night venture through WalMart with the bestie, Ashtain, I decided to embark upon a new project. Going to practice with some acrylics and watercolors. Pretty pumped. Can't wait to show you all the outcome....just promise not to laugh too hard. Ha.ha. I used to be pretty decent at drawing, but painting is a whole other thing in my book. ;) Here goes nothing....
Music For My Mood: Playlist of The Day
My Grooveshark playlist of the day....
Music has always been a huge part of how I define myself. I love that I can listen to such a diverse range of music genres. That one minute I can be listening to Led Zeppelin and the next I could be listening to pop or country. Whatever I am in the mood for, I will listen to. Rather than defining myself by genre, I define myself by the lack of genre. If I like a song, I will listen to it. That's me.
1. Led Zeppelin- Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
2. Gavin DeGraw- More Than Anyone
3. Blues Traveler- Run Around
4. Regina Spektor- The Call
5. The Fray- Look After You
6. Wallflowers- One Headlight
7. Kate Voegele- Hallelujah
8. No Doubt- Don't Speak
9. Jewel- Standing Still
10. Nirvana- Where Did You Sleep Last Night (Unplugged)
11. Nirvana- Pennyroyal Tea (Unplugged)

Tattoos : Yay or Nay?
So just a random late night thought...I'm thinking that I could totally rock this awesome camera tattoo. And I'm kinda digging the placement as well. Photography is my life so it is completely perfect for me.
But.....I have also been contemplating with birds as well...similar to these. But maybe on my wrist. I love the elegance of them. And in my thought of birds I was wanting one larger one to represent God, with four smaller birds following it to represent my lost loved ones making their way to God.
But then again, I don't have any tattoos and I'm kinda nervous about getting any kind of permanent thing done to my body. I've never even dyed my hair for the fright of never getting my original color back, or had any type of piercing other than my ears because I'm scared of the possibility of the hole never growing back in and leaving that ugly little indention in my body somewhere. I guess you could say I definitely play it safe. But I've put alot of thought into it and I'm kind of leaning towards yes.

Finally Complete!
So glad that after two days of work I am finally done unpacking and putting up everything in my room. Looks a bit tidier now. :) Well minus the desk due to lack of room to put things. But definitely in realization that I need more drawers for storage and a bigger desk for sewing, and not to mention I still have to find the perfect vintage chair for my desk. But atleast the tough work is all done, but my back is for sure feeling the aftereffects.
Oh and loving this little doggy for my bookend. :)
Yep, craft table still needs some work, but mostly just more room.
Just look how neat and tidy my movie/book shelves are! And yes, yes, my Disney movies are a must have for my bookshelf. I'm still kicking it old school with the VHS player, because I have to admit, watching the old previews before the movies is one of my favorite parts. :)

Can You Say DISASTER?
I think saying my room is a mess right now would be an understatement. I recently moved and haven't really got around unpacking everything until now.
This is what it looks like after an accumulative 8 or so hours of unboxing, cleaning, and arranging...hoping to get that craft corner looking a bit more spiffy in the near future. What I'm really hoping is that I put the desk together correctly and it doesn't fall apart on me. Ha.ha.

Friday Night Fun
After hours of finally getting through the unpacking of my room (which I have postponed for the last month or so), I took a break to go see The Vow with my Mom. I absolutely love Rachel McAdams, she is probably my favorite actress as of right now and the movie was pretty good. I have to confess I did tear up a few times. Ha.ha. I am quite a girl when it comes to movies. I would definitely have to recommend it if you are in the mood for a good chick flick.
New Sewing Machine!
Very excited that my Mom got me a brand new Singer Brilliance sewing machine today! Now, it has been a few years since I have used a sewing machine so i am guessing it is going to be a major challenge at first, but I am really hoping it doesn't take too terribly long, because I have quite a few projects I really want to work on. Can't wait to get started!!
Latest Finds: Out Of Print
Wow!! Just found this site, Out Of Print, and I think I'm in love. They have amazing shirts representing some pretty amazing books. Here are a couple of my favorites that I very much hope to own in the near future. The Great Gatsby and The Outsiders were two of my most favorite books during high school. Reading them takes me back to a time in my life that I really miss. Those of you still in high school, make the most of it, don't complain, because I promise down the road you will miss it. And I have a few friends that would definitely take my side on that one. I have only been out for two years now and I already want to go back.

I just wanted to share some absolutely adorable dresses by The Measure. I advise anyone with a daughter to check out her clothing line. Here are a few of my favorites I have found on her site. :)
how can you not fall in love with these little clothes? I will for sure be in financial trouble whenever I have a little girl. Haha.

Coming Back
Hey everyone. I wanted to welcome you to the reinvention of my blog. Right now seems like a good time to start. I've been missing being involved in crafty activities, and that is more of what this blog will be, rather than mainly focused on photography (which I will still be showing), this will be focused on all things crafty, and all things me. :)
